Get Your Quad Bike Covered

Most people would never dream of buying a car and not making sure they have full insurance cover before they get behind the wheel for the first time.  And yet many quad bike owners never give a second thought to the idea of insuring their new vehicle.  And yet it’s just as important to get insurance on a quad bike as it is to have cover on a car.

It’s very important for an owner when getting a quad bike insurance quote to be clear about exactly what kind of cover they need.  This is one area where only the owner can take responsibility for getting the right policy.  Insurance companies will usually try to be helpful in arriving at the right quad bike insurance quote but unless the owner can be very specific about what he wants they are working in the dark.  By defining his needs for insurance very precisely, the owner will be sure to get the best possible insurance policy at the best possible price to suit his needs exactly.

There are basically three kinds of quad bike insurance cover in general use.  The first is comprehensive.  This is the highest level of insurance and it covers the owner and driver, the quad bike itself and other drivers.  The second level is third party fire and theft which will cover any costs incurred by the owner because of damage or injury to other drivers and also provides cover for fire damage and theft.  The third, bare bones, kind of cover is third party only.  This is the minimum cover required by UK law and will only cover the owners liability for damage or injury to other drivers and third party property.

Because the level of insurance required for a quad bike is not generally as high as that for a car, it’s important to buy only the level of insurance required by the particular circumstance of the owner and the bike.  It’s very easy for an insurance company to load the policy up with extras when providing a quad bike insurance quote and in this case the owner may find himself paying for risks which are non-existent in his particular circumstances.

All in all, the best way for an owner to get an appropriate quad bike insurance quote is to go to a reputable insurance company and explain very clearly exactly how he intends to use the vehicle and in what circumstances.  Thus the vehicle may be used for domestic use and recreation, or may be used for commuting.  Knowing these circumstances enables the company to prepare a quote which is tailored to the owner’s specific needs.  In this way the owner gets the very best quad bike insurance quote possible.

Golfing Holidays in Brittany

One of the most popular holidays these days are golfing holidays and there are many British groups who will take a golfing holiday in places like Spain, Portugal or France.  The reason for this is because they get to enjoy playing their favourite sport in the sun.  There are so many areas in France where golfing holidays are common but one of the most popular places for this type of holiday is Brittany.  There are many courses in Brittany and it is an affordable place for a holiday.  Brittany properties are reasonably priced and it is very easy to get here so it is no surprise that it is a hit with British golf enthusiasts.  Below are a few of the best courses in Brittany:

Dinard is the oldest golf course in the Brittany region and is actually the second oldest course in the entire country.  It was designed in 1887 by Willie Dunn and offers the keen golfer a wonderful experience.  It has fantastic views of the coast, coupled with great golf and the club house is a charming Art Deco design.  However, this course should only be played by the experienced golfer as it can be quite difficult for novices.  It is extremely popular with members so should probably be visited on weekdays.

Nantes La Vigneux is a wonderful course for the experienced golfer.  It has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with fabulous fairways and charming woodland.  While the course can be played by beginners, they may find it difficult to score well.  However, this is one course that you will want to visit again and again in order to improve your score.

Val Andre is just fifteen years old but it is one of the best courses in Brittany.  The greens are quite tricky so even though you may find it easy to begin with, it will offer you a challenge.  There are also coastal winds to contend with which may make things even trickier but one thing is for sure, you will really enjoy a day on this course.  Not only will you be impressed by the course, you will also enjoy the spectacular views and the wonderful seafood.

Saint Laurent is probably the most well known course in the region of Brittany because of the fact that the PGA Championship has been held here quite a few times.  In order to get a good score on this course, you are going to have to bring your A game.

If you are thinking of a golfing holiday abroad then Brittany is a fabulous choice.  It is close to Britain and very affordable and Brittany properties are advertised for holiday rentals all the time.  In fact, if you book them separately yourself, you may find that you get a great deal.

Caravanning, Holidaying With Freedom

The much maligned caravan can be seen on nearly every road in the UK during the summer months as couples and families seek out a little area that they can call their own for a few days.  For some people the sight of a caravan makes the hair on the back of their neck stand on end, especially when they drive up behind one on a narrow ‘B’ class road with no passing spaces as it meanders 20 miles to the coast.

Some people would much prefer to stay on a holiday park or hotel but the caravan owner is looking for a bit more freedom; obviously some prefer large static caravans that can be found on holiday parks but that is a different type of caravanning altogether.

So why do people caravan?  Well there are probably thousands of reasons why but caravanning gives people the chance to choose exactly where they would like to stay on their holiday and if it does not work out they can just pack up and move on.

One reason people prefer using their own caravan to holiday is because it is an extension of their home, but on wheels.  This allows the caravanner to know exactly where everything is and gives them that homely feeling wherever they are.

There are over half a million touring caravans in the UK plus another 100,000 motor homes.  It is believed there is in excess of 3100 caravan sites scattered across the UK.  The Caravan Club was first established in June 1907 and it is hard to believe that at that time there was sufficient interest in motoring to warrant a national association for caravans.

Caravan parks come in all different shapes and sizes; from parks housing just a few caravans to ones that hold a hundred or more.  Parks can be found with very little by way of facilities, some are lucky if they get electricity; then there are sites that have every conceivable facility and form a holiday park of their own, some even have their own swimming pools and clubhouses.

Children are well catered for on a large number of caravan parks but if a peaceful time is required when away then there are many adult only caravan parks where they can relax with no fear of interference.

As to where a caravanner can stay in their caravan the skies the limit; well not quite the sky but certainly a caravan can be taken far enough up a mountain to pitch it in a low cloud.  Caravan parks can literally be found in any location, near points of interest, the seaside, farmland, and even in the middle of towns.

There are many listings for caravan parks; simply looking on the internet will reveal hundreds, so finding one that is suitable should not be a problem.
